With his marshmallow-like soft cheeks Panu is the youngest member of Ban Rom Sai. Although he cannot speak yet his smile and eyes are very calming and harmonious, but the staff has to follow him around with a towel since he has saliva drooling down his mouth all the time. He is going to be increasingly adorable when he starts to talk!

Although she was a girl with very few smiles when she first came to the Center her life has changed greatly. She constantly shows a shy smile. She often looks up at us with watery eyes and says, “Hold me.” Her high-pitched voice can be clearly heard; she will soon be singing to us with a beautiful voice. She is growing up so fast. She has started to show her strong side these days.

Since he came to the Center everyone named Tam their younger brother. He is a big eater and he doesn't listen to others. His meaty appearance makes him look like a martial artist, but when he calls out we can all feel his gentleness. When he draws pictures his powerful strokes reveals his strength.

Pet became everyone's favorite the day he entered the Center. Pet means “diamond” in Thai. The way he runs around with so many expressions – it's like he's a different person than when he first came to the Center. At meal time he always does what he is told to do. He is called “father” from the volunteers since he carries himself like an old man when he reads his newspaper.

Jinda came to Ban Rom Sai on Christmas Day. Her full name is Burojinda which means “jewel” in Thai. She still cries a bit but when a new and younger boy enters the Center she immediately becomes their big-sister. During her spring swimming lessons she worked very hard and finished all of her tasks. She is growing into a beautiful jewel day-by-day!

Rita is always working hard at whatever she does. Whether she is talking, eating her favorite chicken dish, or playing sports she always gives her wonderful heart out. Her muscular and healthy body makes me think that she will be a gymnast someday.

His name sounds like the English word “bank”. Beng had been known to cry often, but we now only hear his cries every once in awhile. He is now a kindergarten student and is riding a bicycle instead of a tricycle. He is growing up so fast.

Peng means “full moon” in Thai. Just like her name her cheeks are white, round, smooth, and soft. Her beauty and smile is first class. She is a dangerous character that puts a spell on the male volunteers so that they are totally submissive to her beauty and sweetness. She used to be a powerful queen even around the children her age, but she is growing up to be a beautiful big sister.

Bee gets along well with Nurse Tiu ( although she is known to be very strict). When his cute tricks get out of hand it is not rare to see Nurse Tiu giving him a little spanking. He used to be a big crier, but these days we see him smiling more often than crying. Although at first he couldn't get acclimated to kindergarten he is now eager to put on his red uniform.

Even with her little body her eyes sparkle larger than life. Her name means “Venus” in Thai. She is quite the artist as she stands out in dancing, drawing, and sculpting. We all see her running around like a butterfly wearing a pink bandana around her head. She is a joy.
