International freelance drummer Domenico "Itachan" Composto has supported a wide range of international pop artists such as t.A.T.u. and Lene Nystrom (Aqua) as well as opening for Sting at the Universal Music International Convention 2004 in Tokyo, Japan.

His televised appearances have included performances on Japan's number one music program Music Station as well as on the Japanese cable music channel Viewsic. His live performance with Lene Nystrom (Aqua) at the Nagoya Rainbow Hall aired on Japanese radio ZIP-FM 77.8.

During his formative years Dom e Niko performed and toured with a variety of musical ensembles ranging from big band jazz to classical music at New Trier High School where he was trained in both percussion and mallet instruments.


He went on to pursue music at Indiana University where he studied Afro-Cuban and Brazilian rhythms under acclaimed percussionist Andrew Lazaro before transferring to Boston University to earn his bachelor's degrees in Archaeology and Anthropology.

His musical influences range from jazz fusion to electronica, to funk to progressive rock. He counts Sting, Dave Matthews Band, Mike Stern, Eric Johnson, Dennis Chambers, Jaco Pastorius, Kenji Hino, Marcus Miller, Nir Z, John Mayer, Square Pusher, Sarah McLachlan, Tracy Chapman, Ojos de Brujo, and Rush as some of his greatest sources of musical inspiration.
